Carbon Capture and Storage (CCUS)
We apply our deep understanding of the subsurface to design and execute safe, efficient, and permanent CCUS projects.
Leading Industrial Decarbonization
Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is one of the most important tools for the energy industry and other sectors to achieve their emissions reduction goals. At TEXVEN, we apply our deep understanding of the subsurface to design and execute safe, efficient, and permanent CCUS projects.
Methodology and Approach
Our approach focuses on the characterization of geological formations for the safe storage of CO2 and the engineering required for its injection and long-term monitoring, ensuring containment and regulatory compliance.
- Site Selection and Characterization: Identification of saline formations or depleted reservoirs suitable for geological storage of CO2.
- Injection and Monitoring Engineering: Design of injection wells, modeling of the CO2 plume, and development of monitoring, measurement, and verification (MMV) plans.
- Risk Analysis and Regulatory Compliance: Evaluation of potential risks (such as induced seismicity) and ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory frameworks.
- Integration with Existing Operations: Design of strategies to capture CO2 from industrial sources and integrate it with transport and storage infrastructure.
Applied Technology
We use geomechanical and fluid flow simulation software to model the behavior of CO2 in the subsurface, predict storage integrity, and design effective monitoring systems enhaced by AI, that guarantees project safety.
